I. Generial Introduction of Marine Airbags
Marine Airbag is an innovative product that is applied as a flexible tool to launch or dock ships. It is also called marine balloon, roller airbag, lifting airbag, air balloon etc. Marine Airbag can be made to various sizes with different numbers of cord-reinforced layers. Thus, they are capable to be used for launching or docking ships of various sizes up to 10,000 vessels. They are much more flexible and cost-efficient in the work of launching.

1. As shown in the figure below, the marine airbag has a cylindrical body and two conical heads, one at each end. It has a diameter of 1.5m and effective length of 16m after inflation to the rated working pressure and with a tolerance of ± 3%.

1. The airbag is constructed with an outer rubber layer and one or more rubber layers reinforced with synthetic-tire cords. The arrangement of synthetic-tire cords reinforced layers is shown below. All material should be vulcanized firmly.

3. Reinforcing Cord Fabric
As a reinforcing material, the warp should be (90±5) cords per 100mm in width, and the breaking strength shall be more than 205N per cord.
